Map project (MUST READ)

"Please note anything you may call spam in this thread ISNT Im doing this for mine and your benifet so we can keep track you may call it a diary i call it a write up but its definatley not SPAM" Ok.. As most of you know, Me Clarkey Shogun and Mutiny go school together, At school they asked me to make a map based on our school.Now at first i avoided this but now .. Its sounds like a good idea most of you wont know what im going on about next but this is the plan to start it off , Ct's start on the tenniss courts were there will be various breakable "Hidden" holes in the floor when you go down these holes they will bring you up in the cantine, the terroists start on the al lweather pitch were they have hidden holes leading them to the office etc. Ill try and make it look as near as possible to the real thing even including signs with the "MPCS" Logo on. I have already made the Tennis courts spawn area and am now working on the drive / cantine. Hope you like the idea this project will take me a while and will post updates on days when im working on it please post feedback "Edit": Can you tell me how to save it then come back on a later date all you mappers out there Working on carpark outside tennis courts now "Edit" : Now i am including random teachers around the place starting with a suited man with a briefcase it doesnt look like anyone but use your imagination when your shooting him ;D "Edit" 22:47 hamemr tool has froze, No saved data of project yet .. Hopefully it will unfreeze :/ "Edit" 22:53 hamemrtool finally unfroze and now im back in action with a cup of hot chocolate and a bunch of marshmallows ... Im set for the night "Edit": 22:57 gonan save now and will now put onto server and will test it (Please not this will be removed after untill its complete so dont wait there for i to come round in the mapcycle ) Edit 23:28 addded mud sounds so when you walk on mud its squleches ! Soooo cool

Ok I post this in a diff post just so you all read it : Please post all suggestions what so ever for this cs_mpcs_schoolyard map project all suggestions will be consider however large or small so please do not hesitate to post them here

*Update* Tested out in game .. Found out its all a bite small when your in game but im retiring for the night so my aims for tommorow are :

1.Enlarge the tennis courts and car park.
2.Make the Cantine
3.Make a secret vent to the cantine
4.Add hostages around the place *Somewhere u guys wont find them*
5.Make the all weather pitch with terroists spawn points and buyzones
6. Make counterterroist spawn and/or buyzones
7.Fix all texture glitches
8.Add sunlight.
9. And last of all maybe even get round to making the school =) Including blowup plasma t.v's

So.. Woha thats a lotta work for me to do i think it may be achivable in a week or so depends how much daily effort i put in i kinda get bored after making 1 part and retire to some r&b and the forums so ill atleast have the cantine finished and the whole thing enlarged tommorow. ( if i saved it right).

Also at the start of the rounds im considering a schoolbell ringing signaling the start of the round instead of the "Go Go Go" or whatever it usually says at the start of the round.

I dunno this map might be quite good when its finished its in lifelike textures ill link some screen shots atm in a sec


Ok thats concludes this days editions of "The map diaries" xD Ok this may sound like a diary i admit but its just so i can keep track of what i did when also so you can track when i did when please be sure to check back every day for an update

Yeah sounds sad but my mates asked me to so i thought "Meh" nothing better to do also it will get me used to the controls with hammertool etc !Custom maps FTW! XD

ok nice i like the idea but i think you should change the name of it to xcess_school or suming as if we put mpcs i think it wouldnt be great for the school and stuf like that if you understand. as it will give it a bad name and you could get sued or suming for like basing a map on a school with teacers and stuff. so if we made up a school then it wouldnt be so bad but as long as we all know its based on mpcs thats fine. plus remove the signposts and give a differnt name for the shcool such as park lane high school or suming.

*UPDATE* Sunday 18th Jan 19:27: Enlarged both tennis courts and car park made base of the cantine, Working on moving door, dextructable windows "in" the doors (Kinda hard) and tabels and chairs set out in there May include a stage too.

"Edit" : added tables Moving doors , Desctructable Windows. going to test now If all goes well ill link screen shot below >>>>>

You can't get sued for basing a map around your school..
That's like me getting sued for seeing the Dark Knight DVD Front Cover and making another piece of art based around it and getting sued

And tbh if you "Could" get sued how would the school find out xD You cant have sopyright on a school xD

Ok daily Update causei m going now .... Cantine done Windows doors fixed , Climable fences , a vent leadign from ct spawn to cantine, Grass area done , Everything enlarged and buyzones skybox and spawnes fixed

Hope you all enjoy the map when its done

Ah right no problem mate, can I just take the time to say thanks for taking out time in your busy schedule to make this map for everyone to play on it will expand xcess and hopefully encourage more people to join as our own maps are a good feature

lol i think u should take the map of the server as when i spawned i fell through the floor and kept on falling never ending lol. so untill you've finished map you should remove the map from the server or get it fixed. thanks.
